My name is Adirka Ramkusen, a young South African Indian female born in Kwa- Zulu Natal, Durban. My passion for writing stemmed from my toddler years where I would write and illustrate my own short stories with green paper and crayons to using my mother's laptop at the age of 7 to begin my own novel.

In high school, I branched out from creative writing assignments in English to drama classes and pursued a BA in directing and writing at AFDA Film school. In my third year, I was officially contracted as a co=screenwriter on first professional script outside college.

 

But upon graduation I faced 10 months of unemployment and decided to take up Project Management studies and start my own company. Now, I stand as the Founder & Creative Director of Aloe Lantern Productions. A collective opened to those qualified in film and media to build their own experience into the industry. ​
